I was born in Chicago Il, but growing up I also lived in Indiana, and Miami, Florida. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Interior Design from Winthrop University, Rock Hill, SC and a Fine Arts Degree from LaGrange College. My mother is my greatest influence. She was a very creative person in the field of textiles and painting. Since college I have studied with Jo Ann Williams Walker and Guido Frick, two incredible teachers that have taught me so much about “seeing” and “loosening up”!
My favorite medium is oil painting. I love the thick buttery paints that allow you to create such incredible colors and textures. I try to express my love of nature and its myriad colors and moods in all my paintings.
